In the standard position the center divider nests into the front of the suitcase and allows for 100% clean capacity. As you travel and transfer the dirty clothes the divider will allow for as much as 61% dirty clothing without having to expand.
When the center divider is expanded it can fill up to 100% suitcase with dirty clothes nesting into the rear compartment.
